Subsidized (free) subscriptions
To ensure that nutrition researchers and health professionals in developing countries have access to the latest food and nutrition research, the FNB provides donated or subsidized subscriptions to eligible individuals who are unable to afford a paid subscription. The cost of these subscriptions is underwritten by the Nevin Scrimshaw International Nutrition Foundation and corporate sponsors.
The extent to which requests for free subscriptions can be met depends on available funds. Individuals living in industrialized countries or holding international posts working with international and bilateral agencies, international nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), and private corporations are not eligible for subsidized (free) subscriptions.
To apply for a subsidized subscription:
- Download the Subsidized Subscription Form: MS Word Document (50kb) or PDF (62kb)
- Email it to us at fnbsubscriptions@inffoundation.org or mail to:

- Claims for missing issues MUST be received within six months of publication.
- The journal is not responsible for non-delivery of issues due to invalid addresses as provided by subscriber.
- Only one issue and its supplement will be replaced free of charge per journal subscription year (1 of 4 issues).
- Claims for missing issues must be for the period of active, paid subscription. (i.e., cannot claim for issues outside of subscription duration.)
