The Advancement Fund will honor Dr. Scrimshaw’s enormous contributions to public health, and will continue to promote and expand his vision of nutrition research capacity building in the developing world. Through this Fund, the INF will be able to:
- Provide fellowships and research support to scientists working on nutrition issues in developing countries
- Expand the distribution of much-needed nutrition research and policy information through more advanced technology, such as online content and communication forums
- Support and conduct nutrition research in key areas in collaboration with private companies and local institutions and communities in developing countries
